Set of Four Chandigarh Institutional Stools
Taxes & duties included
Set of four tall institutional stools from PGIMER’s Nehru Hospital in Chandigarh, dating to the 1960s and attributed to Pierre Jeanneret and the Chandigarh architectural team.
Each stool is constructed with a circular solid-wood seat, three tapered wooden legs and a circular metal footrest. The rims retain painted institutional markings reading “PGIMER,” together with individual inventory numbers, while several legs are marked “Nehru Hospital.” The seat surfaces are additionally inscribed “ST-16,” likely an internal furniture or stock designation.
Presented in original unrestored condition, with visible wear, surface marks, abrasions, staining and oxidation consistent with age and institutional use.
